Lighting a Devotional Prayer Candle
Devotional Prayer Candles are beautiful real candles lit upon request and burn for five days in the church in front of St. Joseph or the Blessed Mother Chapel. Online Devotional Prayer Candle requests are lit weekly.
Lighting candles has long been a sacred ritual in all traditions, creating precious moments in our own and other people’s lives where we pray for loved ones, and friends, and ask for or give support.
Did you know you can also light a real candle in the church for someone even if you cannot physically visit St. Luke’s?
If you would like to light a devotional prayer candle when requesting a Mass intention, the following will be added to your card if you choose to send one. A candle has been lit for you in St. Luke’s Church and will burn for five days. We can also add a photo of your lit candle to the card with any personal message printed in a beautiful font.
